Thermal lift for an exceptional view
Thermal lift is a vertical movement of air (buoyancy) caused by the temperature difference between the sun-warmed ground and a cooler patch of air. This causes a bubble of rising wind which the paraglider will play with to gain altitude.
This is a unique experience for you during your Ascension paragliding flight as you gain height and get a little adrenaline rush. Your instructor can take you up above the surrounding peaks and allow you to observe the magnificent scenery. K2 Paragliding instructors are fully conversant with thermals and updrafts as part of the basics of paragliding.
As you gain altitude, you will be able to enjoy a unique panorama over Lake Annecy. You will be able to discover or recognize the most beautiful summits of the Alps and the inevitable Mont Blanc glacier. In the valley, you will fly over the Annecy basin and the typical Savoyard villages of Talloires and Menthon Saint Bernard. You will appreciate the nature reserves around Annecy from a perspective you have never seen before.
Tandem paragliding experience in Annecy to offer
The Ascendance paragliding experience is available for online booking in the afternoon between 1pm and 6pm from April to October. This experience is available for those aged 12 and over (from a minimum of 40kg) and there is no age limit. For the midday flights, the maximum weight limit is 85kg and for the other afternoon flights, the maximum limit is 115kg.
You may also prefer a gift card to be given as a present without setting a date. The person who receives the gift card will choose the date of their paragliding jump according to their availability, by contacting us. The photo and video option allows you to leave with souvenir images, which you can either take directly on your smartphone or by WeTransfer. Our team takes care of everything.
The ideal outfit is a pair of trainers or high boots, a jumper or windbreaker and a pair of sunglasses. K2 paragliding takes care of everything else.
